Travel to the Montauk Yacht Club

Rental Car: For ease of journey, this is the recommended option. Driving directions to the Yacht Club are given below. A car will also allow one to see attractions nearby the Club.

Train: To get to Montauk, one can take a Long Island Rail Road train from the Jamaica station (if you arrive via the JFK airport) or New York City's Penn Station (if you are coming from the city). The train ride from Jamaica is about 2.5 hours and the schedule is sparse. Jamaica station is easily accessible from the JFK airport by the airtrain. To get to Jamaica from the LaGuardia airport we recommend taking a taxicab ($20-$30). Once at the Montauk train station, you will need to take a cab to the Montauk Yacht Club: most likely there will be a cab waiting for a train. If not you could call some local companies (e.g. Montauk Taxi, Phone: 631-668-2468  Celtic Cabs, E-mail: sung5212@optonline.net, phone: 631-668-4747). Bus: Hampton Jitney runs a coach bus from Manhattan to Montauk with a stop in Queens (a taxi cab ride away from either JFK or Laguardia). The most recent schedule (in PDF) is here.

Limousine: For transportation from the JFK airport we recommend to book well in advance with the following limousine companies:  Classic +1 (631) 567 5100; Spartan +1 (631) 928 5454; Winston +1 (631) 924 1234. Give them your arrival information and they will wait (convenient if you are delayed). The trip costs around $154 plus a tip of 15-20%; often the ride is shared and you may drop others off first. Spartan may be cheaper if there is more than one in your party: (1,2,3,4) persons = ($154,145,135,125) + parking + tip. Note that Newark Airport is considerably further away and involves crossing Manhattan. The cost will reflect this.

Turn Left on W LAKE DR - go 1.7 mi 8. Bear Right on STAR ISLAND RD - go 0.5 mi 9. Arrive at 32 STAR ISLAND RD, MONTAUK, on the right
