Rental Car For ease of journey, this is a recommended option.  It would also allow you to see nearby attractions beyond the Yacht Club. Travel directions are listed below.
	Train To get to Montauk, one can take a Long Island Rail Road train from the Jamaica station (if you arrive via the JFK airport) or New York City's Penn Station (if you are coming from the city). The train ride from Jamaica is about 2.5 hours and the schedule is sparse. Jamaica station is easily accessible from the JFK airport by the airtrain. To get to Jamaica from the LaGuardia airport we recommend taking a taxicab ($20-$30). Once at the Montauk train station, you will need to take a cab to the Montauk Yacht Club: most likely there will be a cab waiting for a train. 	Bus Hampton Jitney (a bus company used by many manhattanites to get to the Hamptons) runs a coach bus from Manhattan to Montauk with a stop at the airport pickup location. The most resent schedule (in PDF) is here.
	Limousine For transportation from the JFK airport we recommend to book well in advance with the following limousine companies:  Classic +1 (631) 567 5100 | Spartan +1 (631) 928 5454 | Winston +1 (631) 924 1234 Give them your arrival information and they will wait (convenient if you are delayed.) The trip costs around $154 plus tip of 15-20%; often a shared ride, and you may drop people off first. Spartan may be cheaper if there is more than one in your party: (1,2,3,4) persons = ($154,145,135,125) + parking + tip. Note that Newark Airport is considerably further away and involves crossing Manhattan. The cost will reflect this!
